January 5, 2024

In early 2023, investors faced a host of uncertainties and worries about the economy and financial markets. Overall, the current financial landscape, though improved, still carries difficulties and challenges. In the following video segments, Brad Swinsburg, aims to look ahead at 2024 and the potential impacts associated with investing in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Bulls vs. Bears

Anticipating the year ahead, our attention shifts to examining how equity markets might be affected in 2024. There are always different opinions – some positive and some negative – and unexpected things will inevitably occur that make the future remain uncertain. While long-term valuations always drive our decisions, we recognize that short-term factors can also have a big impact. In our video discussion, we explore these shorter-term factors, assessing if they lean towards a more bearish (negative) or bullish (positive) outlook.

Investor interest in AI has spiked due to market hype and recent returns, raising questions about how to invest and whether the window of opportunity has closed. Despite the impressive returns seen in 2023, when contrasted with the poor performance in 2022, the two-year returns for what the financial media has termed the “Magnificent Seven” might not seem as impressive overall. Our video discusses what investors should consider regarding the potential ups and downs in these stocks and whether it might be too late to get involved.
