Dancing to Find a Cure for Alzheimer’s

Each member of the Smith and Howard Wealth Management team participates in our firm-wide community service projects, but we also each have personal passions for certain charitable causes. For Lisa Curles, Senior Client Service Specialist, that passion includes finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. She has attended an event in support of our client, Dr. Lisa Hasty, for the past few years.

This year, Lisa is taking a leap (or should we say a cha-cha?) into an unknown world and becoming an active participant in the Alzheimer’s Association’s annual Dancing Stars of Atlanta one-night ballroom dancing competition. Having never been trained in ballroom dancing, Lisa has already begun to prepare for the May 2019 competition! She has been taking classes and is working with other dancers to learn ballroom dancing techniques! Her ultimate goal is to use the event to raise a meaningful sum of money to fund research to cure this crippling, deadly disease.
